Classes and Workshops

Company Class

When the company is in rehearsal or on tour, we would welcome any professional or graduate dancers into class. Our rehearsal period this year will be from late July through September, in Penzance, Bath and London. Please contact the Creative Producer to check dates, times and venues.

Our Approach
Yorke Dance Project’s Learning and Participation programmes are a series of classes, workshops and creative processes based on company practice, geared towards providing the participants with experiences that enable them to develop critical thought processes that feed directly into their own creative development. This begins with a class, followed by sessions working with Yorke Dance Project dancers – including either a repertoire-based session or a task-based creative session that gives the dancers opportunities to explore their own creativity within a mentored environment. Each programme is tailor made to suit the experience, circumstances and objectives of the participants, and can involve either the whole company or just one or two of the company dancers depending on the profile and scale of each programme.
